Publication Ethics
Stratova Journal of Management and Innovation (SJMI) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Detailed guidelines and international ethical standards can be found on the COPE website. All parties involved in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—are expected to adhere to these ethical standards.
A. Duties of Authors
1. Reporting Standards
Authors submitting original research articles should present an accurate and objective account of the research conducted and its significance. The manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the study. Fraudulent, fabricated, or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
2. Data Access and Retention
Authors may be required to provide the raw data related to their manuscript for editorial review and should be prepared to make such data publicly available when appropriate. Authors should retain research data for a reasonable period after publication.
3. Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. Any use of the work, ideas, or words of others must be properly cited and acknowledged. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
4. Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors should not submit the same manuscript or substantially similar research to more than one journal simultaneously. Duplicate publication is considered unethical and is prohibited.
5. Acknowledgement of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be provided. Authors should cite relevant publications that have influenced the research and manuscript preparation.
6. Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the study. All contributors meeting authorship criteria should be listed as co-authors, while others who contributed significantly should be acknowledged appropriately.
7. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation or outcomes of the research. Sources of research funding must also be clearly stated.
8. Fundamental Errors in Published Works
If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in a published article, the author must promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the publication when necessary.
9. Research Ethics and Compliance
Research involving human participants, organizations, surveys, interviews, or sensitive data must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional regulations. Authors should clearly indicate ethical approval and informed consent where required.
B. Duties of Editors
1. Fair Play
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their academic merit, originality, relevance, and contribution to the fields of management and innovation, without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religious belief, institutional affiliation, or political views.
2. Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information regarding submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial advisors, and the publisher, as appropriate.
3. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished information obtained through submitted manuscripts for their own research without the explicit written consent of the authors.
4. Publication Decisions
The editorial team is responsible for deciding which manuscripts should be published. Decisions are based on scholarly merit, originality, significance, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal's scope. Editors shall follow applicable legal requirements concerning defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.
5. Review of Manuscripts
Editors shall ensure that all submissions undergo a fair, objective, and timely peer-review process. Suitable reviewers with relevant expertise and no conflicts of interest will be selected to evaluate manuscripts.
C. Duties of Reviewers
1. Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists editors in making publication decisions and helps authors improve the quality of their manuscripts through constructive feedback.
2. Promptness
Reviewers who feel unqualified to assess a manuscript or unable to complete the review within the specified timeframe should inform the editor promptly and withdraw from the review process.
3. Standards of Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively and professionally. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate. Reviewers should provide clear, evidence-based comments and recommendations.
4. Confidentiality
Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, or use the contents of a manuscript without authorization from the editor.
5. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Information or ideas obtained through peer review must remain confidential and not be used for personal benefit. Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, financial, or institutional relationships.
6. Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. They should also notify the editor of any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and other published works known to them.
D. Publisher Responsibilities
The publisher of Stratova Journal of Management and Innovation (SJMI) is committed to supporting editorial independence, maintaining the integrity of the academic record, and ensuring that ethical standards are upheld throughout the publication process. The publisher shall work closely with editors to handle allegations of misconduct, corrections, retractions, and ethical concerns in accordance with COPE guidelines.
E. Ethical Oversight
SJMI takes issues of publication misconduct seriously, including plagiarism, citation manipulation, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, authorship disputes, and conflicts of interest. Allegations of misconduct will be investigated thoroughly and handled according to internationally recognized publication ethics standards.
F. Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts submitted to Stratova Journal of Management and Innovation (SJMI) are screened using plagiarism detection software prior to peer review. Manuscripts found to contain significant plagiarism or unethical similarities will be rejected immediately.
G. Peer Review Policy
SJMI implements a Double-Blind Peer Review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process. This approach ensures objectivity, fairness, and academic rigor in evaluating submitted manuscripts.
