PENDAMPINGAN PERINGATAN HARI SANTRI UNTUK MENANAMKAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PESERTA DIDIK TPQ DARUSSALAM DI KELURAHAN SAWUNGGALING SURABAYA

The purpose of this study is to foster a sense of nationalism among Islamic boarding school students (santri), particularly students at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School (TPQ) in Sawunggaling, Surabaya. Students have participated in several activities previously conducted by Islamic scholars, such as reading yellow books and Ma'na Pegon (the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad), reciting Asroful Anam (the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad) once a week, and other activities. Therefore, National Santri Day (HSN) helps people re-understand Islamic law and the beliefs of our former Islamic scholars. The purpose of HSN is to foster a love for the nation and state and nationalism towards the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). This belief has gradually been eroded by the progress of time. By understanding blessings, intercession, and qaidah in accordance with the guidance of the Prophet's sharia, the hope is that TPQ Darussalam students will have the spirit of jihad like the students during the independence era. This qualitative research uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, meaning that the subjects and researchers function as facilitators. Researchers gather data through observation and in-depth interviews. Then, using interactive methods, they analyzed the data descriptively to reach conclusions. The results of the weekly mentoring of all the students' activities fostered a sense of nationalism toward their nation and country. Initially, they could only read the Quran, but now they can write and recite Pegon, and their hidden talents are beginning to emerge, such as singing, playing the tambourine, and reading and writing Pegon. This is increasingly rare among the younger generation, who are increasingly immersed in modern developments
