Abstract

An internship program is a form of learning provided in the workplace to develop competencies in real work and is accompanied by experts in their fields for a predetermined period of time. Through the internship program, students not only learn theoretically but also directly through practice in the workplace. The internship experience they undergo can broaden their insight into career choices and career development that they will undertake in the future according to their interests and expertise. The purpose of this study is to determine the Career Development of Students Who Participate in the MBKM Internship Program. The research method uses a qualitative approach with 6 students who have participated in the MBKM Internship. Data analysis in this study uses three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing verification. The research findings indicate that the MBKM internship program provided by the Faculty of Psychology, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, has a significant impact on students' career development, particularly in improving their skills and understanding of the world of work. This internship program provides students with the opportunity to hone their hard and soft skills. Other benefits include expanding their professional network, obtaining certifications that will help them in the future world of work, and gaining a deeper understanding of their chosen fields. Despite these numerous benefits, students also face challenges during internships, such as the mismatch between the experiences gained during the internship and their perceived role in the field.
