In career development, career planning is a very important element because it helps determine concrete steps to achieve the dream job. This study aims to identify factors that influence students' career planning and determine the most dominant factors among these factors. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. Data collection techniques used interviews and interview guides in this were compiled based on aspects of career planning proposed by Winkel & Hastuti. Interview data were analyzed through the stages of data organization, transcription, and analysis manually or with the help of computer devices. The results of the study indicate that there are two factors, namely internal and external, that have an influence on supporting individuals in planning their careers. Internal factors include interests and talents, physical condition and appearance, and achievements that show an influence on the career planning process. However, achievements only have a minimal influence on students' career planning. External factors consist of the environment and relationships, economic conditions, and the influence of family and social environment. According to respondents, these three external aspects are very important and influence individual career planning because the better the support from external aspects, the better the career that the individual will pursue.
