MENGOPTIMALKAN PENDIDIKAN DENGAN FUNGSI MANAJEMEN YANG TEPAT
Abstract
Educational management plays a pivotal role in realizing an effective, efficient, and competitive educational system. A well-implemented management approach contributes significantly to the quality of learning, the empowerment of educators, and the achievement of student competencies. This study aims to examine in depth the core functions of educational management and their practical steps based on the theoretical perspective of George R. Terry. This research employs a library research method by reviewing various academic sources such as textbooks, scientific journals, and relevant articles. The findings reveal that the four fundamental functions of educational management include planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. Each function plays a strategic role in the continuous cycle of management, from goal-setting and task distribution to activity implementation and performance evaluation. Systematic implementation of these functions supports the optimal performance of educational institutions. Therefore, educational management that is professionally executed and quality-oriented can strengthen the educational ecosystem holistically. This study is expected to serve as a conceptual and practical reference for academics, education practitioners, and policymakers in designing more adaptive and sustainable educational management strategies.
